On Saturday, March 2, the Winter Park Martinky ski resort organized, together with the City of Martin, the SKI TEAM Martinské hole Ski Club and under the auspices of the chairperson of the Žilina self-governing region, Erika Jurinová, a public race in downhill skiing – the Žilina Region Championships.
The sixth year of the event attracted 305 competitors to Martinské hole, who tested their strength in the giant slalom on the Floch slope. The first run and the reference time belonged to the former representative of Slovakia in downhill skiing, Kristina Saalová, who covered the course in 28.60 seconds.
This was followed by registered competitors from ski clubs and recreational skiers from the public. The race was open to everyone, which was appreciated by several cheering visitors of Martinské hóli.
